SkillGridLearn computer science by doing

About SkillGrid

An interactive computer science course where you learn by doing, not by reading alone.

Why this exists

Most introductions to computer science are either too abstract to feel real or too shallow to be useful. SkillGrid takes the opposite approach: every subject is unlocked by proving you understand what it depends on, and every lesson ends with something you actually build or solve in the browser.

How it works

The course is a map, not a playlist. Subjects are connected: you cannot meaningfully study security before you know how networks and operating systems work. Each subject has three grades — junior, middle and senior — and each grade is a series of levels that open one after another, ending in a final challenge.

Where it can take you

The map covers the routes people actually hire for: networking, operating systems, security, backend and frontend development, data analysis, machine learning, and the foundations underneath all of them — logic, discrete mathematics, digital logic and the physics of signals.
